Unleashed Uninvited Book 2 eBook Sophie Jordan

Set in the year 2018 which was interesting to read as it is only really three years away, genetics have proven that some of us contain the HTS gene in our DNA Strands - having this gene means that we are prone to becoming killers or pyschopaths so what the government did was round up and test everyone and those with the HTS gene were sent to detention camps or training facilities depending on what their academics or skills/talents were. At the camp Davy met Sean and the two became close friends and dating and all was well until Davy was forced to make a decision - kill an anonymous person or Sean would be killed , so she did what she had to and killed a stranger. Now that stranger haunts her in her dreams and she finds herself drifting away from Sean , it couldn't come at a worst time either as Sean, Davy, Gil and Sabine have escaped the camp and are on the run and they must stick together if they are going to survive. All goes to plan, until they are attacked and Davy finds herself shot and separated from the pack. This leads her to meet Caden as he rescues her and takes her back to the group known as "the resistance" . Here Davy starts to find herself again, it takes a lot of effort and during this time ,her character annoyed me in places as she just seemed to be wallowing in self-pity too much. I felt like shaking her and saying, get over it - bad stuff happens to everybody. During this time, Davy eventually starts to rediscover who she was before the whole HTS diagnosis and develops feelings for Caden and then you are left wondering is this going to be another one of those love triangles like we had in Delirium . I shall finish the review there as I do not want to give the ending away, but I will say readers I am happy how the ending of Unleashed and the Uninvited series finished.

Unleashed Uninvited Book 2 eBook Sophie Jordan Reviews

A great sequel to the first book, Uninvited. In Unleashed Davy's story continues in a fast paced action packed adventure. She fights her enemies & struggles to understand how her perfect life disappeared in less than a day. Do not miss reading both of these books, you will lose sleep but you will be glad you did.
I don't have too much to say about this book -- I enjoyed it, and unlike some other reviewers, I did like the love interest and who Davy ends up with. But honestly, I do agree that this one is completely different than the first book, and I think this one could almost work as a standalone. I remember really liking the first book, but other than the main plot points, I didn't remember a whole lot about the relationship between Davy and Sean. That might be why I was perfectly fine with the introduction of Kaden, and in fact, I really liked him. There were a few times throughout the book where Davy started to annoy me because I thought she was just being way too stubborn and not thinking logically, but all in all I enjoyed this book and I'm glad I finished Davy's story.
It is interesting how people use god' s name to do evil? I love how the writer words so poetically flow when Devy is thinking. I really liked Caden, for some reason, he reminds me of Four in Divergent. He is so passionate about his feelings for Devy. He truly warms my heart. and Devy is such a strong character, although a bit childish/silly when it came to accepting Caden ( trust issue) who cares if he is a "carrier" or not, she loves him, and he loves her. There were some surprising moments, for example, Junie turning out to be who she was, I would have not guessed her to be who she truly was? Don't want to spoil this for those of you that have not yet read the book. I loved Mitchell in the first book and continue to love him on this book. he is so sensitive to all that relates to his sister, and for that I love him! A nice ending, and in particular the fact that Mitchell was part of it.
I loved this novel. I read the first novel in this series recently, Uninvited, and loved it too. If you haven't read that you should read it first before this one. If you haven't read it stop reading the review so there will not be any spoilers. )

After reading the synopsis of this story I was a little wary because I didn't want a story without Sean in it especially since it talks about a possible love triangle so I was skeptical. Even though I was afraid of the ending and whether or not it would be the ending I wanted I still wanted to finish the story. No spoilers but let me say I'm glad I finally bit the bullet and read it because this story is as good as the first. If you liked the first story I think you will like this one. I couldn't put it down and when I had to be away from it I couldn't stop thinking about it. Overall, I was not disappointed.

Rating PG-13 or 16+ (a bit of profanity, violence, heated kisses)

Also, I LOVE the cover of this.
This book was everything I expected it to be and more. It is such a great story and Davy is such a cool heroine. I love her personality. I thought I was going to have a problem seeing her with Caden because I loved her so much with Sean in the first book. But I was happy to realize that I actually loved her with Caden more. They are a great couple. I still love Sean as a character and he was good for her in the first book. He was what she needed at the time. He helped her come to terms with her new reality. But from the moment she meets Caden you can see they're meant for each other. He is such a sweet guy. The eternal optimist. I couldn't put this book down, I read it in one night. I wish there was going to be more books because I'm not ready to say bye to these characters yet but I am happy with the way it ended. I don't think this author could ever do wrong by me.I love Sophie Jordan. She is such a great writer. I haven't found anything by her that I haven't loved. This book and the series is definitely A most read. It's futuristic with a slight dystopian fill. I absolutely love this book.
